When planning for the future, the goal was simple—bring a family member closer while creating a space that truly supports their lifestyle. Transforming the home into a multi-generational living environment, the project centered around designing a custom accessory dwelling unit that offers both independence and connection. By thoughtfully reimagining the existing garage space and extending it with structural enhancements, the new layout now serves as a primary living area, complete with a full kitchen and a comfortable, open design.
An addition at the rear of the home houses a private master suite, featuring a walk-in shower, heated floors, and a spacious walk-in closet—all tailored specifically to the homeowner’s needs. To maintain functionality, a new 26×26 garage was seamlessly integrated into the property, designed to match the home’s architecture so it feels original, not added on. The result is a space that feels natural to the home while thoughtfully supporting everyday living.
